May 2024 - Mountain Taking, History Making, World Changers

Joshua 14:12 “Give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day.” Caleb at 85 years of age was still taking mountains and defeating giants. “Caleb said, he who attacks Kirjath Sepher and takes it, to him I will give Achsah my daughter as wife.” (Jos 15:14-16) Caleb wanted his daughter to marry a mountain taker.

God Has A Caleb Project For All His Potential Champions

    1. Make sure you’re climbing the right mountain. The one the Lord has promised you. Know the promise that the Lord has made real to you, have it hidden in your heart, and be ready to act upon it. Mid-life crises happen when people climb for 20-30 years only to find out they have their ladder up against the wrong wall! It is said that 80% of the majors in universities are in the undecided group. It is wise to take time in a good Bible College and find out who you are and what your specific mountain is, so that you can, “Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” (Eph 4:1) The biblical definition of success is: knowing what God has called you to do and seeking to excel in it.

    2. Mountain climbers start with small ones first and then go on to larger ones. The peak-to-peak principle is this: from the peak I can see more than I can in the valley. So, on the mountain top, change your direction and in the valley change yourself. Some make good decision after good decision, and some make bad after bad. The difference is in when you make the decision! “...every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” (John 15:2)

    3. Understand the Principles and the Process of getting to the top. It takes courage to start, then commitment and consistency, if you want to finish anything. If you take a step in the right direction and keep doing it often enough and long enough you will eventually get there. It takes hard work, patience, and good decisions. “Through faith and patience [you will] inherit the promises.” (Heb 6:12) We tend to be more outcome than process conscious. God is more process conscious than outcome conscious. He knows how it will turn out for you if you go through the process.

At 17 years of age Joseph had a dream. He was 30 years of age before it began to become a reality. But a right heart attitude kept him moving in the right direction. “Until the time that his word came: the Word of the Lord tested him.” (Ps 105:19) Don’t get stuck in a phase that was only meant to be part of the process.

The Process goes like this: the Promise, the Problem, the Principle, the Provision!

David, at 17 years of age, was anointed to be king with the anointing of promise, by the prophet Samuel. The problems he had to overcome included the giant Goliath, the madness of King Saul, and a deeply divided nation. The principle was that David faithfully trusted in God and never gave up. At Ziklag (1 Sam 30), David faced the worst day of his life. But just 3 days later he was anointed king over Judah! From Hebron David took the stronghold of Jerusalem and made it Mount Zion - the City of David, uniting the nation. The provision was the blessing and power of God to rise above kings and giants and make history as Israel’s greatest king!

Caleb and David were both Giant-Killing, Mountain-Taking, World-Changing, History-Makers!

Now it’s Your time, Its My time, It’s Our time, its Manifestation time!

Yours for fulfilling God’s call,
