April 2024 - Fruitfulness, Multiplication and Dominion

God’s first words to mankind are recorded in Genesis 1:28 “Be fruitful, and multiply and have dominion.” Whatever multiplies the most will have dominion. At a recent national director’s meeting we were given a prophetic word, “The fruit is in the root.” To me this means two things. First, that God wants to make us fruitful, as individuals and as a movement. Secondly, the key to becoming exceedingly fruitful, as a movement, is to stay tied to our roots.

1 No Roots – No Fruits. If you cut a plant off from its roots, it will die. When we reflect on our past, we need to learn from our failures and build on our successes. Some things we need to remember and some things we need to forget! (Phil 3:10) “This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and pressing on…”

The Victory Movement is built on a unique root-system of zeal for God, bold vision, and daring faith. As long as we’ve stayed connected to our roots, God has blessed us and has made us very fruitful. This prophetic word is exhorting us to remember our roots and continue to draw our direction, inspiration, and strength from them.

2 Be Fruitful and Multiply. Remember, whatever multiplies the most has dominion! If you are a believer, then multiplying means leading other people to Christ. If you are a leader, it means raising up and releasing others into leadership. If you are a church or a movement of churches, it means continually planting more and more new churches and ministries.

We need to have a vision for growth! Great hope and vision for the future releases great power in the present. Biblical hope is a confident expectation that God will do what He said He will do. Today’s victories and breakthroughs are a result of yesterday’s obedience. A Word from God can reveal potential and release creativity and power to succeed in what God has called you to do. John 1:1, 1Cor 2:9-13

3 Multiplication Brings Dominion. If we allow ants to multiply in our kitchen, it won’t be long until they have dominion over the whole house! But the Bible says we are to learn from the ants. (Pro 6:6) Ants are zealous! You will never see a lazy ant. They are determined to build, and they don’t waste any time doing it. They think ahead and prepare for the future and then work diligently to bring it to pass. And they will fight fiercely to defend what they’ve built!

In 1 Samuel 30, David and his troops returned to Ziklag, which means a place of overwhelming despair. “David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.” But David didn’t give up! Instead, he asked the Lord, “Shall I pursue this troop?”; And when God answered, “Pursue” - David pursued, David attacked, and David recovered all. As a result, David and all Israel with him, rose to a place of dominion.

Root-fulness causes Fruitfulness; which produces Multiplication; which brings Dominion!

Yours for being fruitful, multiplying, and having dominion!
